This week I attended and spoke at the European SharePoint Conference 2016, and here are the slides from my session:
Session: Prepare for SharePoint 2016 – IT Pro Best Practices for Managing Your SharePoint
SharePoint has come a long way since the first release in 2001. As the product evolves so does our understanding of how to plan, install, operate and manage a SharePoint farm. In this session, we are going to discuss the entire process that starts with the SharePoint capacity planning all the way to the successful management of a SharePoint farm. We are also going to discuss the most common best practices and help you to avoid some most common pitfalls. The best practices outlined in this session are something that should be applied to farms large and small. To keep you up to date with the new SharePoint 2016, we are going to spend a fair amount of time discussing some of the current hot scenarios like MinRoles in SharePoint 2016, automated installation with PowerShell and SharePoint Online hybrids.
